Recorded in a home studio in Taupaki, West Auckland using Cool Edit Pro, this was the programme that the guy I'd paid to record 'Motion or Devotion' had been using.

I came up with it downstairs at my parents house in Devonport, Auckland, in despondence after another 'failed' attempt at trying to engage them in something other than watching the boob tube.

You know.. like: "Pay attention to me! and to all the other fun things in the world that you could be doing other than this right now!"

Disillusioned, my bruised ego, upset my needy inner child promptly relocated downstairs and invoked this song.

So, now given the circumstances swirling around the genesis of this song, maybe on reflection I should be grateful for their rebuff... maybe there's a little life lesson here...maybe the world is actually a beautiful place..........
